- Description
- The Air Force intends to issue a solicitation for military family housing maintenance at Vandenberg AFB, California, on or around 7 Jan 2005. The contractor shall provide all personnel equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform effective military family housing maintenance for approximately 1,969 units at Vandenberg Air Force Base. Services will include change of occupancy maintenance; maintenance/repair of houses, garages, storage areas, installed fences that belong to the structure, and government-owned appliances; grounds maintenance for housing units and playgrounds; repair/maintenance of playground equipment; pest control; locksmith services, a la carte cleaning; recurring equipment and exterior inspections; and operation of the Self-Help Store. The proposed period of performance includes a 6-month basic period from 1 Apr 2005 through 30 Sept 2005; and four (4) one-year option periods extending through 30 September 2009. However, Vandenberg AFB is currently under a privatization initiative with a decision expected in mid-2006. Contactors are advised that the the government may not exercise all option years. Award is contemplated as 100% set-aside for small business. The NAICS code is 238990 and the size standard is $12.0M in average annual gross receipts. Services will be procured pursuant to the requirements in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. A draft solicitation and draft Statement of Work will be posted with this notice. Interested parties may provide comments in writing, not later than 3 Jan 2005, to: sandra.odem@vandenberg.af.mil. Request for Proposal Number FA4610-04-R-0008 is scheduled for issuance on or about 7 Jan 2005, and a scheduled pre-proposal conference will also be released at that time.
