- This is a notice that the Government intends to award a contract to DRS Technologies, 645 Anchors Street, Ft. Walton Beach, FL 32548 to upgrade the Advanced Range Data System (ARDS) Full Range Production (FRP) instrumentation pod to a Rockwell Collin s Global Positioning System (GPS) Navigation Processor (GNP). Due to the proprietary nature of the embedded firmware and hardware, the supplies required to upgrade the system are only available from DRS Technologies and is the only known source that can m eet our requirement. Other than full and open competition will be used under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirement. This notice is not a request for quotations. No sol icitation or RFQ will be forthcoming. Interested parties must respond by 3:00 p.m. MST on 14 Feb 2005. See Note 22.
