Description
The Government intends to execute an unrestricted procurement for delivery of 820 pounds (2 drums) of High Density Inhibited Red Fuming Nitric Acid (IRFNA) with 28 percent NO2 in accordance with MIL-PRF-7254G, dated 15 Dec 1997, Propellant, Nitric Acid, NSN: 9135-99-028-4613. This requirement is used to support the Army?s SPEC-2 program. Contractor shall provide all production, supplies, management, tools, equipment and labor and any raw materials necessary for the manufacture of IRFNA. Government Furnished Material in the form of Ditrogen Textroxide (N204) will be provided by DESC for the manufacture of IRFNA. Offeror shall indicate in their proposal the quantity of government provided N2O4 required to meet RFP requirements. Required services for cleaning GFP drums includes supplies in the form of gaskets when replacing the drum cap(or inner and outer plugs) and maintaining a nitrogen blanket inside the drum. A Definite Quantity Firm Fixed Price type contract is anticipated to be awarded on or about 25 Feb 05 with FOB origin delivery required on 28 Mar 05. DESC will provide transportation from offeror?s facility to end use customer. Subject solicitation will be issued on or about 9 Feb 05 and posted to the FedBizOpps web page (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). A hard copy of the solicitation may be requested; however, only written, e-mailed or faxed requests for solicitation received directly from the requestor are acceptable. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency.
