Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport plans to award a firm fixed price contract for various AN/WSQ-9 cable sets, per Government drawings. Each set consists of 1 FSGU-50 Pulse Power Cable; 1 FSS-3 Steady State Power Cable; and 1 M85045/21-01P Fiber Optic Cable, and various connectors (some to be provided by the Government; some the responsibility of the contractor). Basic quantity: 4 sets . Two options, each for 4 additional sets. Required delivery: basic buy- by 01 JAN 2006; Option #1- by 01 DEC 2006; Option #2- by 01 OCT 2007. Non-conductive coatings required for the cables. Unclassified. Competitive. Evaluation scheme: Best Value, with technical criteria: Past Performance; demonstrated ability to meet required delivery schedules; technical capability to meet Government requirements. Contractor must have NAVSEA-certification of its molding facility. Anticipated RFP release date: 04 OCT 2004. Our department no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form.
