Description
The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Sealift Support Program Office, Washington NavyYard, intends to negotiate on a sole-source contract with Marine Travel Lift, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235-0066. The requirement is for five (5) Mobile Boat Hoist Travel Lift, one to be procured in the base year, a qty of 2 in FY06 and a qty of 2 in FY07. The general requirement of the Mobile Boat Hoist Travel Lift is as follows: The Mobile Boat Hoist Travel Lift should be capable of handling craft as large as 24 feet wide, 90 feet long, 8 feet high and weighting 115 long tons. The Mobile Boat Hoist Travel Lift shall be capable of stacking the Improved Navy Lighterage craft at least three high. In addition, the solicitation will contain provisions for the exchange of personal property covered by Defense Acquisition Regulation clause 252.217-7002. The Mobile Boat Hoist Travel Lift shall be delivered unassembled and reassembled at POC designation and shall be verified to be operational in accordance with NAVFAC P-307, Management of Weight Handling Equipment Regulations. In addition, the vendor will provide the following services: 1. Quality Assurance - The vendor shall implement and maintain a quality system, which ensures the functionality and physical conformity of all products or services furnished according to the contract requirements. 2. Record & Certifications - The vendor shall retain all records of inspections, examinations, certifications, tests, supplier audits, and purchase orders for a period of four years after contract completion. Records should be made available and accessible to the government upon request during and after completion of the project. 3. Inspection and Documentation - The vendor, unless otherwise specified in the contract, is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements and documentation. There will be quality monitoring or inspection procedures for both coating and welding as specified in the Statement of Work. The NAIC Code is 333923.
