Description
Sources Sought. The Bureau of Reclamation is currently seeking sources for construction at the existing water treatment plant building located at the Bureau of Reclamation facilities, Lake Berryessa Field Office, 5520 Knoxville Road, Napa California 94558. The scope of work will include: Removing and disposing of the existing 8'x16'x8.5' steel Watermaster up-flow clarifier, 4' diameter by 10' long steel pressure filter, filtration media and associated valves, piping and controls; Installing and testing two Government supplied Zenon Aqua Cube 40 pre-engineered skid mounted water treatment systems, 1 horsepower air compressor system, Sun-4m-HO Ultraviolet disinfection system, Chemtrac in-line particle counter, Hach in-line turbidimeter, Hach free chlorine analyzer and 2 Pen ABB Circular (Equipment purchased from Zenon Environmental includes assistance in installation and testing the equipment); Installing and testing Government supplied 3" stainless steel in-box mixer, magnetic flow meter, chemical metering system, body shower and eye wash, 3,100 gallon fiberglass baffled chlorine contact tank, and tank level sensors; Furnishing and installing stainless steel tubing and PVC pipe; Furnishing and installing an upgrade to the existing electrical panels, including new motor starter, new distribution transformer, new panel board and associated conduits; and furnishing and installing electrical and control connections as required to operate the water treatment system. There are vehicle restrictions on roads leading to Lake Berryessa. Vehicle length restrictions are enforced on CA-121 from Napa, CA and CA-128 from Interstate 80. Vehicles are restricted to no more than 40' in length on CA-128 and delivery trucks with trailers can not use CA-121. Both roads are very winding, CA-121 is particularly sharp. This is NOT a request for proposal and no solicitation is available at this time. Market research is being conducted to determine interest and capability of potential sources from Small Business firms. All interested Small Business concerns are invited to respond. The NAICS Code applicable for this project is 237990. Period of Performance is 60 days. The small business size standard for this NAICS Code is $28.5m, however, the government reserves the right to change NAICS classification if deemed necessary. The estimated dollar magnitude of this project is anticipated to be between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. Estimated date for issuance of solicitation is 2/22/2005.
