Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District has a requirement for the above subject. This is not a solicitation announcement and not a request for proposal and does not obligate the government to any contract award. The purpose of this Sour ces Sought is to determine interest and capability of potential Emerging Small Business, 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran or HubZone Small Business Concerns to perform as prime contractors for this project. Responses to this Sources Sought will be used by t he government to make an appropriate procurement decision. It is requested that you review the draft scope of work listed. Draft scope of work  Remove existing roof top units 2 ea. (RTUs) and install two new dehumidification units. The Galveston Hea dquarters building (@100,000 sq. ft. office building) is located directly adjacent to the Houston/Galveston ship channels, an extremely corrosive environment. (1) Units will be constructed of stainless steel, AHUs manufactured to match existing design an d curb placement. Custom built unit will be based on design similar to Trane FADA/FAHA #66. Exact CFM requirements will be obtained from site visit to the Jadwin bldg. (2) New units will have chilled water coils and hot water pre-heat coils. (3) Chilled w ater connections will be made at existing mains on the roof. (4) All new piping will be insulated and jacketed. (5) New controls and valves will be provided and tied into existing building automation BAS. (6) Must be 100% compatible with Trane Tracer Summi t software. (7) Unit will be installed by Trane factory certified technicians. (8) Installer will warranty any damages to associated Trane equipment caused by RTUs non-compatibility with Trane equipment.
