Description

USACE, Engineering Research and Development Center (ERDC) requires the services of FE(0) technology with the induction heating to (1) determine the feasibility of induction heating process for application in iron reduction of perchlorate, (2) determi ne the physical and chemical parameters controlling the reduction of perchlorate in induction heated FE(0) process, and (3) to determine the factors for scale-up. Services are also required for Fe(0) with microorganisms (1) to investigate the reduction of perchlorate by the iron-mediated anaerobic cultures in the column experiments, (2) to determine factors affecting treatment efficiencies, and (3) to determine the factors for scale-up e period of service will be no later than 31 December 2005. The Contr acts Office intends to negotiate a sole source, firm fixed-price purchase order with the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Delaware in accordance with a pending patent. Request for W9132T-05-T-0046 will be issued on or about 22 February 2005 with a closing date of 4 March 2005.
