Description

The U.S. Army CECOM Acquisition Center intends to procure Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) quantities of the Land Warrior system, to include its three variants, individually known as, Dismounted Battle Command System (DBCS), Land Warrior  Stryker Interoperable (LW-SI), and Mounted Warrior (MW). This acquisition shall be a Sole Source, Firm-Fixed-Price indefinite delivery contract with General Dynamics C4 Systems (GDC4S), Scottsdale AZ. Total estimated value of the contract award is $40 million. This acquisition is a follow-on to the LW-SI System Development & Demonstration contract, which was awarded to General Dynamics Decision Systems (GDC4S predecessor-in-interest) in January 2003 following a best value competition. DBCS, an early spiral o f LW-SI, is composed of two main components: the Commanders Digital Assistant (CDA) and the Enhanced Position Location and Reporting System (EPLRS) radio. The target date of award is May 2005, with deliveries commencing in January 2006. Numbered Note 22 applies. The Solicitation will be posted on the Interactive Opportunities Web Page (IBOP).
