Description

The US Army is contemplating a sole source procurement for Control Display System 4 (CDS4) Block II Software. This item is sole source to Honeywell, Inc., Defense Avionics Systems Division, 9201 San Mateo N.E., Albuquerque, NM. Honeywell Inc. is co nsidered the only source capable of providing this effort because of experience, engineering and technical expertise. Honeywell Inc. is the sole source and has proprietary rights on the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior CDS. The CDS contains proprietary hardware and operating software that are required to properly execute the operational flight program. The proposed contractor possesses the only existing database (drawings, specifications, etc.), special tools equipment and facilities capable of fulfilling this requi rement. All offerors must meet prequalification requirements in order to be eligible for contracting opportunities. Firms that recognize and can produce the required item described above are encouraged to identify themselves. Firms are encouraged to see k source approval in order to compete for future solicitations by accessing the website www.redstone.army.mil/cmo/ and looking under Qualification Procedures for Aviation Requirements. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the Agency. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release of solicitation; however, the solicitation will not close prior to the date stated above. All responsible sources may submit an offer w hich shall be considered by the agency.
