Description

The item to procure is services to provide preventive maintenance on heating, ventilating, air conditioning, refrigeration equipment, and the steam distribution systems for approximately 75 buildings on Rock Island Arsenal (RIA). The preventive main tenance work includes scheduled PM, scheduled and unscheduled delivery order PM, miscellaneous unscheduled PM work, and unscheduled pipe and insulation repair. Qualified Technicians shall operate the HVAC and/or steam systems. The contractor shall provide customer service and HVAC operation services to operate, maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and make minor repairs to the heating, ventilating, air conditioning, refrigeration, and steam distribution systems. The operation and customer service responsibi lities include maintaining proper space temperatures, responding to unscheduled service orders from the government service order desk and responding to direct digital control (DDC) alarms. The contractor shall provide electronic responses to service orders and alarms in the Public Works office management system. This contract includes no asbestos work. Requirements are a base year with four option years. FOB is Destination. Work will be performed on Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island, IL. Estimated issue date is 15 Mar 05. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to t he date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
