Description

This is a notice of intent to award, on a sole source basis to the lessor?s management group, SC Herman, of Washington, DC, for commercial items prepared in accordance with Simplified Acquisition Procedures and within the format identified in FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; on behalf of the Executive Office for United States Attorney?s, the Department of Justice, has a need for minor repairs/alterations, supplemental air conditioning/heat [because the Government only leases office space, logistically, we are not in a position to seek temporary outside support, i.e. portable chillers and fan coil units to condition the space; we are seeking inherently building related utility support through the building?s mechanical plant under the terms of the lease. The terms of the requested service are detailed in the General Services Administration?s lease agreement, OVERTIME USAGE section, of the Solicitation for Offers for this leased space] and incidental painting needed in support of their various spaces of the leased building located at 600 E Street, NW, Washington, DC. The projected range for the services to be received is between $25,000 - $50,000. All work shall be small in nature, within applicable code(s) and will not exceed the micro purchase level of $1,999.99 per task order. The provision 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors?Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. Provision 52.212-2 Evaluation?Commercial Items applies. Quotes are not being request and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 26 effective January 19, 2005. Responses received as a result of this notice of intent shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses will not be considered as either proposals or bids. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition, based upon the written responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
