- Description
- The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, Information Explotiation Technology Office (DARPA/IXO), Air Force Research Laboratory, Information Directorate (AFLR/IF), Wright Site, WPAFB OH, and Air Force Research Laboratory, Munitions Directorate (AFLR/MN) Eglin AFB FL are soliciting research proposals for the Quint Networking Technology (QNT) Program. This program will consist of three phases. Proposals for this effort will be due by no later than 28 Feb 05, 1:00 pm local time. The objective of the QNT program is to design, develop, evaluate and demonstrate robust, affordable data link technologies suitable for use by weapons, tactical unmanned air vehicles (UAV?s), and dismounted ground units. These data links will enable precision strike and efficient machine-to-machine targeting against time critical and mobile targets, support combat identification of targets, disseminate tactical UAV and dismounted ground sensor data, and provide bomb impact assessment (BIA). The data links will allow secure weapon handoff from the launch platform to any of several control platforms in the combat area, both air and surface. The capability explicitly includes the simultaneous operation of large numbers of QNT radios. A Program Information Package (PIP), which includes documents from the Weapons Data Link (WDLA) and the Tactical Targeting Network Technology (TTNT) Program is available. See the full announcement on instructions on how to obtain a copy of this PIP. This PIP is not required in order to submit proposals under this program. Interested offerors may view and/or download the full BAA solicitation by accessing the Electronic Posting System (EPS) homepage at http://www.eps.gov/. Direct questions to the Contracting point of contact identified in the announcement.
