Description

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to procure two Magnetic Sensor Assemblies, with an option to purchase 10 additional units, from Cummins-Allison Corporation of Carlsbad, California. The Magnetic Sensor Housing Assembly is used in the bureau?s Universal Magnetic Detection System. Cummins-Allison was initially awarded a contract to produce two test units and this procurement is a follow-on buy. This procurement action is for supplies in which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.3021. The resulting purchase order will not exceed the simplified purchase threshold. The procedures set forth in FAR Part 13.106-3 shall be used. The point of contact for this procurement is Mr. Frank B.
