Description
In accordance with the procedures specified in OMB Circular A-76 (Revised May 29, 2003), The Federal Bureau of Prisons is publicly announcing the beginning of a streamlined competition for functions performed by the Hemodialysis Nurses and Technicians at the Medical Center for Federal Prisoners (MCFP) in Springfield, Missouri. The Dialysis Center is responsible for providing hemodialysis for approximately 160 federal prisoners. These functions are performed within the confines of a federal prison. Peritoneal Dialysis services are not included in the competition. Forty-three (43) full time equivalents (FTEs) are being competed in this study. Of the 43 FTEs, there are currently 14 vacancies which results in 29 personnel currently performing the functions of the dialysis center. The estimated contract cost will be based on market research and the agency cost estimate will be structured on a base year and four option years. This is not a solicitation; therefore, proposals are not requested at this time. The date of this public announcement is the official start date for this competition. The Bureau of Prisons will issue a notice to announce the decision of this cost comparison on or about May 31, 2005. The Department of Justice Competitive Sourcing Official (CSO) for this competition is Paul R. Corts, Assistant Attorney General for Administration. The Agency Tender Official (ATO) is Rodney Chandler, Associate Warden, MCFP Springfield. The Contracting Officer is Al Rauschuber, Jr., Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, TX.
