Description
The United States Marine Corps currently has a requirement for a training solution that provides a non-live fire decision-making and marksmanship training system for Marine Corps Security Guard (MSG) Detachments around the world. The ISMT-MSG will be used indoors within permanent training rooms as well as in operating office spaces within Embassies, Consulates and Bachelor Enlisted Quarters worldwide. The system will be used to sustain and maintain marksmanship, weapons handling, and deadly force application decision-making skills. The system will also provide course of fire for specific small arms that simulates the Department of State weapons qualifications requirement. The training system must be one man portable, user friendly, digital based, interactive training system that realistically replicates the firing capabilities of small arms weapons. This system must be able to simulate the M9 Beretta Service Pistol, the M4 Carbine, M870 Remington (military) Shotgun, and as an option the SIG SAUER P228 Pistol, and the 9mm Colt Submachine Gun. The contractor will provide the initial maintenance support under a twelve month initial warranty followed by an optional additional twelve month warranty. Tracking of maintenance requests and troubleshooting assistance is required through the Internet. Vendor assistance will be provided by web based and/or direct call assistance. Using units will only be required to provide minimal operator and preventative maintenance on site and minor calibration adjustments. RFP: RFP release date is 26 January 2005.
