Description
The Social Security Administration (SSA) is seeking information from vendors who can provide a software process automation solution for SSA?s implementation of Sterling Commerce?s Connect:Direct data exchange software. An automation solution will assist the SSA with it?s goal of minimizing the user support required to submit processes to the Connect:Direct product. SSA Requirements for a process automation solution The process automation solution must be a software solution that: runs on the Z/OS 1.5 operating system level or higher interfaces with Sterling Commerce?s Connect:Direct OS/390 software at the 4.3 level or higher has the ability to interface with multiple copies (regions?) of Sterling Commerce?s Connect:Direct OS/390 software at the 4.3 level or higher has the ability to detect the creation of datasets and submit a Connect:Direct process to a particular Connect:Direct region depending on a defined set of rules. has the ability to submit Connect:Direct processes from multiple process libraries has the ability to detect a 0 byte file has the ability to delete a file has the ability to submit processes to Connect:Direct which will execute in the Connect:Direct address space executes in its own address space affords the option of setting a timer for the search for datasets. has the ability to detect the creation of a dataset on the Z/OS operating system and then submit a process to the Connect:Direct product for execution has the ability to rename a file on the Z/OS operating system administration and ability to upgrade and reconfigure without using programming and/or database skills will produce a log of activities pertaining to dataset name manipulation and Connect:Direct process submissions is able to be customized is scalable has built in fault-tolerance software support included can interface with CA?s Top Secret security package Section 508 compliance Maintenance and 24x7 support Vendors capable of providing and supporting an automation solution that satisfies the above requirements are invited to submit information that includes product literature, company experience on providing similar solutions, customer references (names, telephone numbers, and contract numbers), and GSA or commercial prices. When responding to this announcement, respondents should refer to CD PROCESSES SOLUTION. Written responses should be submitted to the address cited above by SSA's close of business on January 30, 2005. The Government does not intend to pay for information received and does not intend to provide evaluation results to the sender. Instead, the knowledge obtained from information submitted will be factored into subsequent procurement set-aside determinations and/or solicitation requirements.
