Description
NASA/MSFC is hereby soliciting information about potential sources for a paticular type of digital video recording system. The salient features of the system are listed below: "The system must be capable of 1200 x 1200 pixel resolution or better without pixel interpolation. "Camera must accept Nikon F mount lenses. "The camera sensor must be color with at least 30 bit resolution. "The system must capture 500 frames per second at 1200 x 1200 pixel resolution for at least 150 seconds. "The camera must be capable of withstanding an acoustic environment of 160 dB and humidity of 85%. "The system can either be a one-piece solution or the camera and data recording unit can be separate pieces. "The camera units must be capable of time-based synchronization with each other. "Camera shutter rate must be independent of the frame rate and must be user adjustable to prevent blurring of the images. These systems will be used to record images of ice so the capability must be included to set an auxiliary shutter rate down to 2 microseconds that will reduce glare for pixels affected by light reflections from the ice surface. "Three camera systems will be required and must be delivered no later than 5 weeks ARO. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If a solicitation is released it will be synopsized in FedBizOpps and on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service. It is the potential offeror?s responsibility to monitor these sites for the release of any solicitation or synopsis. Vendors having the capabilities necessary to meet or exceed the stated requirements are invited to submit appropriate documentation, literature, brochures, and references. Please advise if the requirement is considered to be a commercial or commercial-type product. A commercial item is defined in FAR 2.101.
