- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst will issue Solicitation number N68335-05-R-0047 on or about January 24, 2005. The solicitation is unrestricted (full and open competition). A Firm Fixed Price contract is anticipated. The Government intends to award a contract to the offeror whose proposal offers the ?Best Value? to the Government, considering the evaluation factors of Past Performance and Price. The solicitation shall appear on the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) homepage, located at http://www.navair.navy.mil/doing_business/open_solicitations/ Click on the appropriate solicitation number, then click on attachments, if applicable. This procurement is for the Low Loss Launch Valve Plugs, part number 626725-4 Plug, RH (Right Hand) and part number 626727-4 Plug, LH (Left Hand). The Low Loss Launch Valve (LLLV) Plug is a large (approximately 450 lb) two piece forging (Shaft and Plug Head) welded together and rough machined to a required finish and geometric tolerance. An ACME thread is required on the shaft after joining. The Plug is a component of the Low Loss Launch Valve. This is a flight critical item and requires significant quality control. Quantity includes one (1) each, First Article Test (FAT) unit. After acceptance of FAT, then fifteen (15) Production units of P/N 626725-4 Plug (RH). Sixteen (16) Production Units only (no FAT) for P/N 626727-4 Plug (LH). There will be an Option quantity for twelve (12) each for P/N 626725-4 Plug (RH) and twelve (12) each P/N 626727-4 Plug (LH). Delivery of First Article Test Unit is 150 days after date of contract. All units will be FOB Destination to Lakehurst, NJ. Delivery schedule for production and option units will be specified in the solicitation. Inspection and Acceptance at source with ?Best Commercial Practice? for packaging and packing. This procurement contains Technical Data (specifications/drawings) subject to the Export Control Laws, see Note 8. Before all responsible sources submit a request for proposal/solicitation with Export Control drawings, your company is required to register with the United States/Canada Joint Certification Office. Please include with your request for a solicitation package your company?s certified copy of the DD Form 2345, Militarily Critical Technical Data Agreement. It is mandatory to register with the CCR, as your DUNS (Data Universal Numbering System + 4 number) number and your company?s CAGE (Commercial and Government Entity) code will be required to conduct business with the Department of Defense.
