Description
The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation is issuing a solicitation for the purpose of requesting the submission of SF-330's for the performance of land surveying services. The location of work is within the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Upper Colorado Region, Albuquerque Area Office boundary. The boundary includes the southern part of Colorado, the state of New Mexico, and the western part of Texas. The majority of the work will be performed within the Rio Grande Valley starting at the Embudo, New Mexico to Elephant Butte Reservoir. The principal features of the work include field surveys with varying site conditions that include and are not limited to, accessing remote locations, traversing over rough terrain, performing surveys on or near waterways, channels, irrigation facilities, arroyos, drains, reservoirs, dams, and government construction areas. Types of surveying required are: layout of horizontal and vertical control networks, cross-sectioning, alignment profiles, land boundaries, construction, topography, collimation and settlement surveys. The surveyors will use various standardized surveying methods, equipment, and hand tools such as Levels, Total Stations, and GPS to perform the survey requirements. As part of the surveying requirement, vegetation removal (brushing) may be necessary to perform most of the river surveys. During brushing operations the contractor will use various standardized vegetation removal equipment such as chainsaws, axes, cross-cut saws, etc., to remove and clear site lines for survey activities. The expected duration of the contract will be 1 base-year plus 4 one-year option years with an option to extend up to 6 months. The work will be performed under NAICS Code 541370. The contract will be indefinite delivery/indefinite quantities, firm-fixed price. The requirement is being procured utilizing Architect/Engineer procurement procedures as described in FAR 36. SF-330s must be submitted by February 23, 2005, to Ms. Leslie Corpening, UC-848, Bureau of Reclamation, 125 South State Street, Room 6107, Salt Lake City, UT 84138-1147.
