- Description
- This will be a supply contract with a Base Year and three (3) option years. Vendor will be required to make direct deliveries to Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard (PHNSY) and Intermediate Maintenance Facilities (IMF). The delivery of grit is done in conjunction with different workload projections that are based on planned work. The shipyard will work with the vendor to identify workload surges and actual delivery requirements one (1) month prior to start of contract. Delivery of grit will be made to each job site (dry dock & piers in the Controlled Industrial Areas (CIA). Security clearance and proper badges are required for drivers to enter the CIA gates. PHNSY and IMF will provide the names for each point of delivery. Upon delivery, driver must provide a packing slip with weight certification. Shop point-of-contact will sign the packing slip as proof of delivery. Payment will be made by credit card. The following specifications are provided. (1) NSN: 5350LLL270023 Grit, Utility Grade, #16-30, copper slag MIL-A-22262B (SH) dated 5Apr93 QPL-22262-26 30Jul03 (2) NSN: 5350LLL015311 Grit, abrasive, Garnet 80 MIL-A-22262A (SH) Type 1, Honing grade, inorganic, natural minerals only (3) NSN: 5350LLL076134 Grit, C1041-G25 Steel IAW CID A-A-1041 55 gal drums (approx 1700 lbs.) (4) NSN: 5350LLL6135 Grit, C1041-G40 Steel IAW CIC A-A-041 55 gal drums (approx 1700 lbs.) (5) NSN: 5350 LLL270001 Grit, 24 aluminum Oxide size no 24, no substitution allowed 1-ton bag. The small business size standard is 500 employees. The issue date for this solicitation is 1 Nov 2004 with a bid closing date of 11 Nov 2004.
