QTY: 193 or 386 or 579 ( actual quantity will be determined at time of award); U/I: Each; DELIVERY: November 2005 to Tinker AFB OK; APPLICABLE: F100PW200/220/220E Engine; SIZE/DIMENSIONS: Approximately 16.180 inches long X 1.00 inches; Wall thickness 0.035 inches; PREDOMINANT MATERIAL: Steel, type 1, Spec PWA 770 SST or AMS 5556 SST, OR AMS 5570 SST OR AMS 5571 SST; FORM/FIT/FUNCTION: To supply air to the #4 bearing compartment. Anticipated solicitation issue date: 14 Jan 2005. Anticipated award date: 30 March 2005. No telephone solicitation requests will be accepted. Qualification Requirements (QRs) are not available at this time nor does the Government have in its pocession drawings or drawing notes for this item. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be approved sources. The Government is not required to delay contract award to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. If the Government has not completed review of theSAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and the sourcewill be reviewed for possible Source Approval for future awards. The award is expected to be made to an approved source. Approved sources are: Pratt and Whitney(52661), Pall Aeropower (18350) and Purolator facet (90005). NOTE: An ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program manager or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
