- The Human Effectiveness Directorate of the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) is soliciting white papers under this announcement for innovative approaches and technologies to support research at AFRL/HEA located at the Mesa Research Site.The objective will focus on weapon system maintenance and logistics command and control science and technology with the goals of enhancing human productivity and combat effectiveness. The following are potential applications: a. Effects-Based Logistics. Tools for automated creation of logistics plans and dynamic replanning advancing goals of net-centric warfare. b. Maintenance Job Aiding. Technologies for system maintenance people that anticipate future demographic profiles, alternative media formats, and ubiquitous computing in the workplace. c. Logistics Situation Awareness. Technologies that promote effective distributed decision making and coherent views of the logistics aspects of the battlespace through a common operating picture. d. Crisis Action Planning for Logistics. Technologies that promote more effective response and integration of Air Force logistics resources in emergency/crisis response e. Human-Centered Acquisition Logistics. Design technologies that promote a digital approach for revealing and solving human-centered maintenance issues and digital production of system support products such as technical orders, training media, and job aids. f. Joint/Coalition Logistics. Procedures for more effective coordination of logistics command and control teams in multi-service and multi-national contexts.
