Description
Proposals are solicited for RFP-RE5071/RAM, for the Downtown DC Circulator Bus Service (Circulator). The Circulator is to provide high quality transportation designed to serve a highly mobile downtown population with easy on and off service with the intent to promote Downtown DC and reduce auto traffic. The Circulator will provide the a public transit link between Union Station and Georgetown, and will connect the SW Waterfront with Downtown via the National Mall. The Authority will provide 29 Van Hool, A330, 40 foot, low floor transit buses with a fare collection system. The Contractor shall be completely responsible for the adequacy and performance of all services or supplies to provide the Circulator service. The Contractor will be responsible for operating, maintaining, cleaning and fueling the buses, and for fare collection and revenue handling.
