- The National Park Service issued a concession prospectus on August 18, 2004 for the continuation of the concession contract for Lodging, Food and Beverage, Retail, Camping, and other Visitor Services within Yellowstone National Park. The solicitation period was scheduled to be August 18, 2004 through January 13, 2005 (see previous FedBizOpps Notice). The solicitation period has been extended to January 25, 2005 in order to provide additional time for potential Offerors to incorporate information provided by the National Park Service in response to questions received. The time period for questions has expired and has not been extended; no further questions are being received. Responses to questions are anticipated to be distributed during the week of December 20, 2004. Please make the following modifications to the Prospectus: 1) Make the following revision to the Draft Operating Plan. Delete the following subparagraph in Section D) Evaluations, (2) Health and Safety Inspections, paragraph (c) Public Health Inspections, located on page B-4 of the prospectus: "The Concessioner will develop and follow a Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) Plan, consistent with the current food code published by the U.S. Public Health Service, which will be available from the U.S. Public Health Service upon request. The U.S. Public Health Service may help develop and update the program as necessary." Insert the following subparagraph: "The Concessioner will develop and follow a formal Food Safety Plan consistent with the requirements of applicable laws, including without limitation, the most current version of the FDA Food Code. The U.S. Public Health Service may be available to assist with development and updating of the Food Safety Plan as needed." 2) Insert an additional Appendix item into the original prospectus. Insert Appendix AA, Real Property Condition Assessment (The two compact disks will be enclosed with responses to questions) 3) Make the following revision to the Draft Operating Plan. Delete the following paragraph in Section 1) Responsibilities, C) Purchasing, (2) Discounts, located on page B-3 of the Prospectus: The Concessioner will take advantage of all available trade, cash and quantity discounts and rebates and pass them through to the consumer of the operation.
