Description

This is a Notice of Intent to solicit and award a sole source procurement to a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, under the authority of Section 308 of Public Law 108-183 and in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 19.1406. The Southern AZ VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS), located at 3601 S. 6th Ave. Tucson, AZ 85723, intends to award a contract to the Sullivan International Group, 409 Camino Del Rio South San Diego, CA 92108, for the fabrication and installation services of animal enclosures. In general terms, the scope of the proposed contract requires the Contractor to fabricate the necessary animal enclosures and install the assembled enclosures at the pre-existing infrastructure. Market research performed identified only one Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business capable, interested, and responsible. If your company is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business and is interested in providing a proposal for this type of work, your company is required to notify this office of your intent by December 30, 2004, 4:00PM AZ time. A determination by VA not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the VA. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement among small businesses, owned and controlled by one or more service-disabled veterans.
