- The solicitation will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about January 3, 2005. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND TELEPHONE REQUESTS OR FAX REQUESTS FOR THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. SET-ASIDE: THIS PROJECT IS A SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. SOLICITATION NO.: Q5530050014 DESCRIPTION: This solicitation is to furnish and deliver gravel for trail construction at Mammoth Cave National Park and an adjacent area in Park City, Kentucky. The gravel shall consist of a mix of sevens, nines (nothing larger than sevens and nothing smaller than nines) and lime. Quantity is estimated at 3,400 tons. Delivery shall begin January 24, 2005 with approximately one half of order to be immediately stockpiled at one of three locations. The remaining one half shall be delivered as needed with 24 hour notice provided. The estimated completion date is May 27, 2005. The three delivery locations are: 1. Park City entrance area to Mammoth Cave National Park 2. Diamond Caverns, Park City, Kentucky 3. Zion Cemetery Road, Park City, Kentucky (near location #1.) A sample (minimum one gallon container) of the specified gravel must be provided when submitting a quote. Sample must be delivered to Mammoth Cave National Park, Attn: Vienessa Martin, NPS Warehouse, Maintenance Road, Mammoth Cave, Kentucky and received by January 14, 2005. Delivery schedule and completion date may change depending upon weather conditions. LOCATION: The delivery site is located in or near Mammoth Cave National Park, P.O. Box 7, Mammoth Cave, KY 42259 (Edmonson County). Mammoth Cave National Park is located approximately half-way between Nashville, TN and Louisville, KY near Interstate 65 in Edmonson County. The NAICS Code for this project is 421230 and the small business size standard is 100 employees. This procurement is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) and is subject to the provisions of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
