- U.S. Treasury, Office of Technical Assistance Tax Policy & Tax Administration Regional Advisors The U.S. Department of the Treasury?s Office of Technical Assistance is recruiting for two positions on a competitive basis to serve as Regional Tax Administration Advisors for CEE/FSU/Africa and for South & Central America. This recruitment is for regional assignments and will require extensive international travel. QUALIFICATIONS: The Treasury Office of Technical Assistance is seeking candidates who possess expertise in tax policy and all aspects of tax administration, including organizational planning, strategic planning, tactical planning, returns processing, tax collection, audit, internal controls, taxpayer service and education, media relations/public affairs, human resources and training, and information technology. A minimum of 4 years experience in the delivery of technical assistance, to include overseas experience as a resident tax advisor, U. S. Internal Revenue Service management experience and instructor experience are basic requirements. The demonstrated ability to work in challenging environments and foreign language fluency are helpful factors and should be highlighted. Candidates must be U.S. citizens. SALARY AND BENEFITS: Salaries will be negotiated in accordance with program regulations based on demonstrated salary history. The salary ranges are from $85,000 to $145,600, subject to January 1, 2005, cost of living adjustments (COLA). Successful applicants will be subject to a security background investigation at the appropriate level.
