Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation with intent to sole source procure the Rauland-Borg Responder Net and its components from AT-Integration for the South Texas VA Health Care System, Audie L. Murphy Div., San Antonio, Texas. The Audie L. Murphy currently has the Rauland-Borg Responder IV Nurse Call system installed throughout the facility. The system runs on a proprietary imbedded systems operating system. No other nurse call manufacturer supports this state-of-the-art technology, operating system, or has access to the system code used in the Responder IV. Rauland-Borg Responder Net will interface with the exiting Rouland-Borg Responder IV Nurse Call system. Vendor must provide on site response time of two (2) hours. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. If there are no responses to this announcement, negotiations will commence with AT Integration of San Antonio, Texas. Solicitation documents incorporated provisions, and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-25. Document is prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6, Acquisition of Commercial items and FAR 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items and FAR 6.302-1 authority is cited and justification made based on the determination that the Governments minimum needs can best be satisfied by Brand Name or Equal equipment. A determination by the Government not to open requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. NAICS code is 235310 and the small business size standard is 500. Award will be a firm fixed price contract, FOB destination. The government will award to obtain the best value for the government. Price, technical capability, and past performance will be considered and are approximately equal.
