Description

The US Coast Guard intends to negotiate a Sole Source Modification with Megapulse Incorporated, N. Billerica, MA under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) ? Soliciting from a Single Source, for a VME Chassis (Loaded) - P/N 01-100-054, for a 16 HCG Accufix 7500 Transmitter. The Coast Guard intends to award a sole source modification to an existing transmitter delivery order for the VME Chassis, a standard replaceable module, built as a component of the Accufix 7500 Transmitter. Megapulse is the current transmitter supplier. Only Megapulse transmitter components will meet the Government's need. Megapulse is the only source that can satisfy this requirement. A fixed price modification will be executed on or about December 17, 2004. All items are to be delivered to US Coast Guard Loran Station Middletown, Middletown, CA. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement, in writing, no later than 12:00 PM December 16, 2004. Written responses to this notice shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill this requirement. Written responses to this notice shall be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this requirement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a Request for Quotation nor is it a request for competition. See Numbered Note 22.*****
