Description

F--101815Q111, Notice ot Intent to award a single source procurement to Queens University in Canada. This is a multi-agency/multi-country funded genetics analysis on marbled murrelets. The necessary Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) primers and protocols for mitochondrial control regions in marbled murrelets have already been developed and laboratory analyses are now performed at Queen's Univeristy, Ontario, Canada. The University already posses DNA samples from 265 marbled murrelets, representing populations from the western end of the Aleutian chain through mailand Alaska, ritish COlumbia, Washington, Oregon, and California. The US Fish and Wildlife Service portion of this endeavor is $57,000.00.
