Description

Furnish and install one automated abrasive paint removal system to include metal building. The abrasive paint removal system shall consist of abrasive blast chamber(s), blast system, exhaust system, grit reclaim, reprocessing and recharge equipment, hull and turret conveyors and manipulators, hull and turret cleaning system, exhaust units, manual touchup area and equipment, utilities, vacuum system for removing blast media from hulls and turrets, and any other items to make this a turn key system. T he system shall be enclosed by a metal building designed and constructed to building codes for this region. As a minimum, the test stand shall be covered by a 1-year warranty that shall begin the day following Government acceptance of the test stand, follo wed by three one year options for maintenance beginning at the end of the first year warranty. Period of performance is 365 days from date of the award. This procurement is unrestricted. North American Industry Classification System Code is 333518, size standard is 500 employees. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1(c); therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Proposals submitted must be in electronic format as stated in the solicitat ion. Estimated issue date is 15 DECEMBER 04. CAUTION: This sol icitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is, in fact, unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodica lly access the above Internet address in order to obtain any amendments, which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals may render your proposal non-responsive and result in the rejection of your proposal.
