Description

The Bureau of Reclamation, Lower Colorado Region, has a requirement for the rental of heavy construction equipment to be used for bank stabilization construction support in the Las Vegas Wash, Henderson, NV. The equipment rental is for approximately three months, from January 27, 2005 to April 29, 2005. The equipment is to be delivered to the site. The equipment includes a CAT 345CL Hydraulic Excavator w/Thumb, three CAT D400 Dump Trucks (no tailgate), a CAT D7 Dozer, a CAT 980G Wheel Loader w/Teeth and a 613 Water Truck (5,000 gallons w/Water Canon). This requirement is being procured under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and is set aside for small businesses. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code is 532490 and the size standard is $6 million dollars (average gross receipts over a three-year period cannot exceed $6 million dollars). Effective October 1, 2003, prospective vendors must be registered on the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) site prior to the award of a contract. You may register by going to www.ccr.gov. You will need your Dun & Bradstreet number and banking information. It is anticipated that a Request for Quote (RFQ) will be issued on or about December 1, 2004, and awarded on December 15, 2004; however, all dates in this announcement are subject to change. The RFQ will be issued via www.fedbizopps.gov
