Description
The Department of Commerce/National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with Statistics Canada (SC) which is located in Ottawa Ontario, Canada. This requirement is for the renewal of statistical data services provided to the International Trade Administration (ITA), Manufacturing & Services, Office of Travel & Tourism Industries (OTTI). OTTI intends to acquire Statistical Canada?s FY 2003 survey of Canada?s visitors to and from the USA . The data is based on International Travel Surveys administered by Statistics Canada. The Contractor shall provide FY 2003 survey of Canadian visitors to and from the United States. Data files must be e-mailed monthly, quarterly, and annually. The annual report analyzes travelers by province of origin, season of travel, mode of transportation, etc. Monthly data are reported by mode of transportation only and provide estimates for inbound (Canadians to the U.S.) and outbound travel (U.S. residents to Canada). The in bound statistics are incorporated in OTTI?s reports on Canadian travel one or more nights to the U.S. This excludes borders-crossers of a single day?s duration. Interested parties who believe that they can meet the Government?s requirement are requested to submit in writing an affirmative response demonstrating their technical capability. To be considered an affirmative response, all responses must include detailed technical information and other technical literature demonstrating the ability to meet the above requirements. In your response, you must address each of the items listed above in sufficient detail to permit agency analysis to establish a bona fide capability to meet the requirements. Failure to submit documentation will result in the Government proceeding as stated above. A determination by the Government not to open competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Affirmative written response must be received no later than thirty days after publication, December 30, 2004, of this synopsis. The solicitation for this requirement will be prepared in accordance with FAR Part 12 procedures. A Firm Fixed Price contract with a twelve month period of performance.
