- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, New Jersey has a requirement for the following hardware: Helicopter Operations Surveillance System (HOSS) P/N 523921-20, maximum quantity of 26 each. These systems will be installed on CG47 class ships. The Government intends to procure these systems using a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP), Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The Government does not own specifications or drawings of the complete system to permit full and open competition. The Government intends to procure this hardware under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Kongsberg Maritime Inc., 7225 Langtry St., Houston, TX 77040, is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and is the only known source with the knowledge, experience and technical data necessary to manufacture the hardware. Firms that recognize and provide this hardware are encouraged to identify themselves. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by the Government in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
