Description

The National Park Service (NPS) contemplates issuing a sole source purchase order to MdE, Inc. on behalf of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center to purchase 50 Tungsten E PDAs Palm Pilots including the following accessories: compatible keyboard, car changer, software [Automated Daily Observation Report & Evaluation (ADORE), Administratively Uncontrolled Overtime (AUO), spellcheck] and services for one year which include basic consultation and instruction for clarification, direction, interpretation, and expert opinion regarding the Field Training Evaluation Program (FTEP); on-site training for 7 new FTEP parks; instruction and training for the supervisor FTEP training and the new Field Training Ranger (FTR) training; modifications/updates to the FTEP manual; and maintenance/updates for ADORE software. This notice of intent to award is not a request for competitive quotes. However, firms or persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement by submitting descriptive literature illustrating corporate capabilities to provide the required supplies and services. All responses received within 15 days after date of publication of this announcement will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
