Description

This is a notice of intent, not a Request for Quotation or solicitation. The Federal Bureau of Prisons, National Acquisitions Section, Washington, DC intends to issue firm fixed price, sole source purchase orders to Motorola, Inc., Columbia, MD for additional equipment to expand the current Motorola radio systems at FCC Coleman and FCC Tucson. Motorola has the proprietary rights to the existing Motorola trunked radio system currently installed at these sites. These non-competitive actions are in accordance with FAR Part 12 and 13.5. The requirements are for the implementation of additional radio console operators that includes the following communication equipment and required installation services: Centracom Gold Elite operator position with a Z Microsystems 20 inch touch screen monitor, LAN extenders for the existing and new operator positions and the optimization of the radio system. This is not a request for competitive quotes. The intent of this Special Notice is for informational purposes only. However, all information received within 15 days after the publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
