Description
The Bureau of Census (BOC) Headquarters in Suitland, Maryland is submitting this sources sought notice to conduct Market Research in accordance with FAR Part 10 and as a Request for Information (RFI). This does not constitute a solicitation, a synopsis of a solicitation, a request for proposal, or a commitment on the part of the Government to later publish a solicitation or award a contract based on the information received. BOC anticipates developing an acquisition process to enable BOC to obtain photocopying capabilities on site via Contractor furnished new copiers. Upon completion of its current Building Modernization and Consolidation Project, the new BOC Headquarters will house up to 6000 employees and is designed with 54 self-service copier rooms. A centralized print shop will fulfill production-level duplication requirements. The new BOC Headquarters will be completed in two phases with Phase 1 equipment occupancy scheduled May-August 2006 and Phase 2 equipment occupancy November 2006-February 2007. BOC is interested in receiving industry comments and capabilities regarding the obtainment of equipment, including maintenance and service support that consolidates functions such as photocopying, scanning, and printing in black/white and/or color. Interested parties should provide responses that identify their ideas and capabilities for fulfilling the photocopying requirements for BOC. Responses must be in writing and must be limited to 10 pages. Electronic responses will be accepted. Responses should be self-explanatory and presented in a manner so that follow-up discussion is not necessary. Responses shall be treated in accordance with FAR part 10. No follow-up discussions are not scheduled at this time; however, BOC may schedule meetings to clarify questions and other concerns. During the phase of initial market research and obtainment of information, interested parties do not need to contact this office but should include any questions with their submissions.
