Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to exercise an Option under Contract N00019-04-C-SDGG with Hamilton Sundstrand Corporation (HSC) of Rockford, Illinois 61125, for supplies and services necessary to procure Aerial Refueling Store Improved Power System (ARSIPS) and/or ARSIPS Ram Air Turbines (ARSIPS RAT), Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Spare and Repair Parts, and associated data. Contract N00019-04-C-SDGG is a Firm-Fixed Priced (FFP) Commercial Item type contract that was awarded on March 05, 2004 and contained four (4) option years. This hardware is needed to support the ARSIPS, which is a dramatically improved Ram Air Turbine and Integrated Hydraulic Power System, which was developed specifically to provide improved reliability, maintainability, life and performance for Aerial Refueling Stores (ARS). HSC is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the ARSIPS RAT, and is therefore, the only source that possesses the necessary technical data, knowledge, experience, and expertise to perform these efforts. This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. See Note 22.
