Description

Lease of temporary building(s) to the Department of Veterans Affairs. The building(s) are needed to house lab mice for 12 to 15 months beginning March 15, 2005. The Contractor will provide, deliver, install and remove the temporary building(s). We need approximately 24 ft. x 40ft. space to house two separate mouse colony spaces. Each space will house five 5?x 2?-10? vented cages. Each space will also have a separate hand-washing vestibule. Structure(s) shall include: 1. HVAC system designed for 100 % fresh air, minimum 15 air changes per hour, 2. HVAC system will maintain a set point from 65 to 80 degrees within +/- 2 degrees. All rooms to have separate temperature controls. Humidity control maintains a range of 30% to 70% RH in animal rooms. 3. HEPA Exhaust 4. Electric outlets shall be installed according to plan, all flush mounted and sealed. 5. Electrical components shall comply with National Electrical Code 6. Fire Alarm system 7. Constructed to meet Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care (AAALAC) Standards for Mouse Breeding Colonies.
