- This is a general summary of the required and optional work to furnish and install a synchronous condensing compressed air system and to install emergency top plate pumps in each main unit turbine at The Dalles Powerhouse. For synchronous condensing compressed air system, provide and install air receivers, piping, valves, and associated accessories, with seismic protection for mechanical equipment. Perform non-destructive testing, pressure testing, cleaning, and flushing. Perform work required comp lying with the site operations, environmental protection, and safety and health provisions. Perform work required complying with reporting, handling, removal and disposal of hazardous materials. Perform all work required for painting, miscellaneous weldi ng, machinist, electrician and other skilled craftsman hire. For emergency top plate pumps, supply 12 and install 22 new emergency air operated top plate (headcover) sump pumps and all associated piping, valves, etc. Install one system per main unit. Execu te all necessary modifications to locate, mount, and plumb the new air operated sump pumps. Touch up all paint damaged or disturbed by this work.
