Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, with Powerware Global Services, Raleigh, NC under authority of FAR 13.106-1b, Soliciting From a Single Source, for preventative maintenance service agreement of (1) Uninterruptable Power Supply & battery, Model Plus 160/Serial Number EZ434ZBA04. The plan includes the following: visits performed by an experienced Powerware Field Service Engineer, emergency maintenance and telephone assistance available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, discounted UPS Replacement parts, consulting service from factory technical and engineering staffs regarding system configuration and unique application. The period of performance shall be one (1) Base Year & four (4) Option years. This is a sole source requirement as Powerware Global Services is the manufacturer of the Power Supply & battery and possesses the maintenance history of the unit for the past 5 years while under warranty. A Fixed price purchase order will be issued on or about November 29, 2004. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, in writing, no later than the response date. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a Request for Quotation (RFQ) nor is it a request for competition.
