- Description
- This is a follow-up to Sources Sought Synopsis AFOSR-1 issued on 13 Aug 04 and amended on 26 Aug 04. The Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) anticipates the release of a Commercial Request for Proposal (RFP) on or about 1 Oct 04 to fulfill the support requirements of its Technical Communications (AFOSR/PIC) branch, including Public Affairs, Protocol, Marketing, and History/Archiving functions. The Government intends to award only one Firm-Fixed Price contract to encompass all support requirements through a Performance Based Service Acquisition (see AFI 63-124). This acquisition has been designated as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. Place of performance will be primarily at the Ballston Towers, located at 4015 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, VA, 22203. The Government anticipates an award date of 6 Dec 04, with an effective date of 1 Jan 05. Period of performance will be 1 Jan 05 – 31 Dec 05, with two one-year priced options. A short transition period will be negotiated with the awardee if necessary. A draft copy of the Requirements Document, Information to Offerors, and Evaluation Factors for Award are posted on the AFOSR website, and can be viewed at http://www.afosr.af.mil/TechComContract.htm. on or about 22 September 04 Capability statements are not being requested; however, comments, questions or general inquiries are welcome.
