- The WR-ALC Systems Engineer has determined that qualification prior to award is necessary due to the complexity and criticality of the Forward Engine Mount Cone Bolt, NSN: 1560-00-702-2195UC, applicable to the C-5 Aircraft. This is NOT a pre-solicitation notice pursuant to FAR Part 5, but a notice to industry advising of the requirement for qualification prior to contract award. Submission of a Source Approval Request (SAR) for this requirement may not necessarily result in your company being able to participate in the solicitation due to level of security clearances and amount of foreign participation. This notice does not constitute an invitation for bid or request for proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not reimburse contractors for any cost incurred for their participation in this qualification process. Both large and small businesses are encouraged to participate in this Market Research. The applicable North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 336413 (1000 Employees). This pre-qualification requirement is open continuously. However, potential sources are encouraged to submit their SARs expeditiously.
