Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price sole source procurement with Waveguide Consulting, Inc. Services will consist of system programming in support of CDC?s Global Communications and Training Facility?s (Building 19) audio/visual components. Waveguide has been intimately involved with the CDC audio/visual users and operators throughout the design of the building 19 systems project. Waveguide as the original program designer will ensure that the design intent developed during the project design phases will be applied throughout and up until complete activation of the audio/visual system. Pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements". The North American Standard Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code for action is 541490 ? OTHER SPECIALIZED ENGINEERING SERVICES. The size standard is $6 Million. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS, AN INVITATION FOR BIDS, OR A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS. FURTHERMORE, IT DOES NOT REPRESENT A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO PAY FOR COSTS INCURRED IN THE PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION OF DATA IN RESPONSE TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. Interested parties having all the capabilities to provide system programming in support of CDC?s Global Communications and Training Facility?s (Building 19) audio/visual components qualified firms that believe they can provide system programming services without a negative impact to the project must respond to this notice prior to close of business on 09 November 2004. Offerors responding to this notice must demonstrate their ability to provide an equivalent service, rationale as to why they should be considered and demonstrate that bringing in another A&E firm does not impact costs, integrity or schedule.
