Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, with University of Texas, Austin, TX under authority of FAR 13.106-1b, Soliciting From a Single Source, which proposes to compile a catalogue of emerging Commercial Technology for the Capital Facilities Industry, pursuant to its Fully Integrated and Automated TECHnology ?smart chips? project. This is a sole source requirement as University of Texas is the sole facility identified by the construction industry, uniquely positioned to lead this effort. A Fixed price purchase order will be issued on or about November 22, 2004. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, in writing, no later than the response date. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a Request for Quotation (RFQ) nor is it a request for competition.
