Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 100 Emancipation Drive, Hampton Virginia has a requirement for off-site dictation and medical transcription services. Transcribed reports shall include discharge summaries, transfer summaries, admission history and physical examination reports, interim summaries, patient transfer notes, operation reports, progress notes, consultations, Compensation and Pension exams, autopsies, EMG’s, social work service reports, social and industrial surveys. Depending on the type of report, it shall be transmitted by the Contractor and uploaded into the Medical Center’s computer system from an ASCII or Kermit file, or transcribed on-line directly into the appropriate software package. Contractor must be able to produce reports in a word processing package that is compatible with the VA’s Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA) and in an ASCII or Kermit file that can be uploaded into the Medical Center’s VistA system. Contractor shall provide a minimum of seven recording machines or lines that are independently accessible via a telephone call to insure immediate access. It is the VA’s intent to solicit offers and award one contracts on a competitive basis. THIS PROCUREMENT IS A 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. The NAICS code is 561410; size standard is $6 Million. Contract period will be one year from date of award with four twelve-month renewable option periods. Solicitation packages will be available on or about August 6, 2004. Solicitation closes August 30, 2004. This requirement is subject to the availability of FY05 funds. Solicitation documents may be obtained electronically at: http://www.bos.oamm.va.gov.
