Description
Red River Army Depot has an urgent requirement for 312 each Humvee Armored Door Kits consisting of the following components: Drawings # DTA181512- 2 each, DTA181513 - 1 each, DTA181514 - 1 each, DTA181533 - 2 each, DTA181541 - 1 each, DTA181542 - 1 e ach & DTA181548 - 1 each. All of the above drawings and quantities comprise one armored door kit. The components are to be laser cut from 3/8 inch x 4 foot x 12 foot or 3/8 inch x 8 foot x 24 foot armor plate steel furnished by the government. A minimum o f 25 complete kits are required each week starting NLT 29 Nov 2004 and continuing each week until the total 312 kits are completed. The contractor may accelerate the weekly delivery as long as the government furnished armor is available. It takes 5 sheets of 3/8 inch X 4 foot X 12 foot armor plate to make 4 complete kits. The contractor will be responsible for pickup of raw material from Red River Army Depot, Texarkana, TX 75507 and delivery of the finished product back to the same. The government will f urnish box pallets and flat pallets for the transportation of the kits. It will be the contractors responsibility to palletize the kits and band the larger parts such as door panels to the flat pallets. If the contractor has not previously manufactured th ese exact parts, they will be required to furnish a complete kit made from ASTM A36, 1/4 inch or 3/8 inc plate steel for First Article Inspection. No cutting is authorized on the government furnished armor until the first article inspection has been comple ted and all parts are approved. All components submitted for first article inspection will be permanently marked with fluorscent paint so as not to be confused with the actual armor parts. The first article kit is required NLT 15 Nov 2004. Delivery is FOB Destination, Red River Army Depot, Texarkana, TX 75507-5000. This proposed contract action is 100% set-aside for small business concerns.
