- Description
- This is a Sources Sought Market Survey Synopsis for Vendors certified by the Idaho Public Utilities Commission to provide local telephone exchange services. There is no soliticitation available at this time and request for a solicitation will not receive a response. The primary service requirement is local access, switching, transport, and related functions at Mountain Home AFB, ID. These exchange services do not include residential or business services for non-government entities located on Mountain Home AFB ID. Qwest Communications Inc. is currently being providing the local exchange access services at Mountain Home AFB, ID. The base telephone switching system is a Northern Telecom MSL-100 with MSL-17 software version and the switching system is located in Building 610 on the base. The local access service areas shall, as a minimum, include the areas/zones coverage as currently defined by the incumbent local service provider(s) and/or the State Public Utilities Commission (PUC) for Mountain Home AFB, ID. The local area access service areas shall be, as a minimum, bounded by geographic city areas/zones and/or surrounding areas. The access areas shall not be limited by prefixes as defined, that may change, be deleted, or added due to the growth of a city or an area. The local service areas /zones /boundaries shall not be reduced regardless of who, when, and how local communications services are provided. The vendor shall provide 911 emergency accesses for the vendor provided commercial subscriber lines. All of the 911 calls that generate from the commercial subscriber lines located on-base to the base switch (internally) are routed to Mountain Home AFB Fire Department. The local exchange service shall include trunking, business lines, and private line service. The vendor shall provide number portability for the current directory numbers. All new cable installation will be either underground or direct buried (i.e., no aerial installation). Installation, circuit assignments, all possible/applicable testing, records? management and Government acceptance and cutover shall be completed no later than one hundred and eighty (180) days after contract award. Firms interested in providing local exchange services for Mountain Home AFB, ID are requested to submit a capabilities statement indicating your interest and ability to meet the aforementioned, but no limited to, requested requirements.
