Description

NOTE: THIS NOTICE AMENDS THE PRESOLICITATION NOTICE POSTED 30 JUNE 2004. The Government intends to issue Solicitation W52H0904R0362 for the Nosecup Disk Valve, as a 100% Small Business Set Aside. The solicitation will utilize a Best Value approach . The estimated issue date is 5 November 2004. The item to be procured is the Nosecup Disk Valve, NSN: 4820-01-260-8703, P/N: 5-1-1081, The Nosecup Disk Valve is a small umbrella shaped disc used on the M40/42 and 45 series mask. It serves as a check valve that prevents exhaled air from entering the eye area of the face piece thus minimizing fogging of the facepiece lenses. The disc is made of silicone rubber and measures about .56-inch height by .92 inch in diameter. A detent on the stem area and under the .92 diameters allows it to be installed on the facepiece nosecup seat. Item is packaged in small cardboard boxes containing 10 discs per box. A cardboard insert in the box holds the discs in place to prevent deformation of the discs in the box. The total estimated quantity over 5 years is 300,0 00 boxes (boxes of 10 each). Delivery will be FOB Destination. The maximum quantity that the government is entitled to order over the lifetime of the contract is 1,200,000 boxes (boxes of 10 each). Estimated ordering periods will be from award date thro ugh 30 SEP 2009. This solicitation shall be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1(c), therefore hardcopies will not by provided. Vendors wanting an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by acces sing the following Internet address: https://aais.ria.army.mil . CAUTION: This solicitation shall be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above Internet address to obtain any amendments, which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them by the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of the same.
